Sairam. ‘Sthala Shuddhi Day’ was observed on the third day (5th Oct 2024) of the Navaratri festival celebrations on the theme ‘Kriya Shakti; Iccha Shakti; Jnana Shakti’ at Sri Sathya Sai Institute of Educare, Chromepet. The events began with a special Nagar Sankirtan by the students and the staff in the early morning spreading the Divine vibrations outside the campus. During Navaratri Pravachan in the assembly, Sri Thyagarajan, PGT addressed the importance of ‘Sthala Shuddhi’ – Outer cleanliness as the first step to please the divinity. He narrated a Swami’s appearance at a Sai school in Hong Kong just to appreciate the level of cleanliness maintained in the school’s lavatory section. Further, he elaborated that outer and inner cleanliness are interconnected. As we have various tools, liquids, substances, etc. available to make outer cleanliness, Japam and Dyanam are the tools to make our minds and hearts clean without any strain or pollution. Master Sreyas Samanta, class X continued the pravachan on the topic stating the importance of Sadhanas like Nagar Sankirtan, and Veda chanting for improving the positive vibrations on the environment. He narrated about the forming of the Bhajan group by Bhagawan at His small age to thwart away the cholera spread in the village. Even during COVID-19, the Krimi nashini mantra from the Vedas safe-guarded all. Hence, we must perform our Sadhans sincerely to maintain both inner and outer cleanliness.
It was followed by a fabulous role-play presentation by the class I-B children, as a part of Navaratri Chaturya, on the importance of mathematics in daily life and the need to have a desire to excel in Mathematics. The role play ended with a beautiful group singing of a rhyme on the significance of mathematics. Then, a mesmerizing dance presentation on the beauty of Hindi language was performed by the class I-B tiny tots. A colourful dance performance by the class II children for the popular patriotic song ‘Sare jahan se acha…’ charmed the audience.
