With the Divine Blessings of Bhagawan Sri Sathya Sai Baba, the 76TH independence day was celebrated with patriotic fervour at Sri Sathya Sai Institute of Educare, Chromepet. Dr. Yashwanth, an ardent devotee of Bhagawan and SSSIE well-wisher graced the occasion with his presence as the chief guest. The programme was anchored by students as a conversation between Poet Bharathiyar and Shreyas – the son of a Kernel.
The Gallant houses of SSSIE performed a magnificent March Past. Our Chief Guest Dr. Yashwant hoisted the National flag. It was followed by singing of the Flag song, Vande Mataram and National Anthem. The National pledge was taken by all.
The cultural programmes began with vibrant chanting of the Vedas. Correspondent Sri S. Loganathan delivered the welcome address. The tiny tots of SSSIE enacted a grand fancy dress show of our great leaders and showcased their cute talents.
It was followed by a motivating patriotic speech in Tamil. A fine arts fusion performance on the theme “One India – One people” was presented by the students in 7 different Languages of India, comprising 10 different fine arts. A spectacular Speech in English was presented emphasizing the importance of democracy.
A phenomenal mime show enacted by the students on the topic “Mother and motherland are greater than heaven” received appreciations from everyone. It conveyed the intensity of the sacrifice of our martyrs.
Dr. Yashwanth, in his address, conveyed the necessity of trusting and believing Bhagawan Sri Sathya Sai Baba through his experiences with Swami. It was followed by prize distribution session.
Correspondent Sri S.Lognathan announced the new ‘Academic Excellence Scholarship’, awarded in the fond memory of former principal Smt. K.Saimeera, to the students who excelled in the field of Academics. 3 students from class XI received the award for their commendable performance in class X board examinations. Best teacher award was received by 2 senior teachers.
Students who won in various outside competitions received certificates and prizes. The programme ended with Mangala Arati to Bhagawan and Prasadam distribution.
