Sairam. With the Divine Blessings of Bhagawan Sri Sathya Sai Baba, Navaratri 2022 was celebrated in a grand manner at SSSIE, Chromepet, on the theme ‘DAIVA PREETHI (Love for God); PAPA BHEETHI (Fear of Sin); SANGHA NEETHI (Morality in the society)’ between 26th September and 5th October 2022. The celebration was inaugurated on 26th Sep 2022 by lighting the lamp of love by Correspondent Sri S.Loganathan, Senior Principal Smt. Savithri Chandrasekaran and Vice Principal Smt. Veda Nayagi.
Each day of the celebration witnessed Navaratri Sadhana (value-based activity for students and staff), Navaratri Chaturyam (Talent display by students), Navaratri Pravachan (value-based talks by staff and students) and Navaratri Parayan (reciting 9 types of Stotrams). The entire celebration revolved around the main theme of Navaratri. The morning assembly witnessed mesmerizing presentations by the primary students such as fancy dress show, Prahlada Quiz, Sathsang etc. Students actively participated in the value-based Sadhanas prescribed for each day such as Namasmarana day, No anger day, Non-violence day, Likitha Japam day, Sai literature day, Sath Vaak day, Sarva Shuddhi day etc. During Navaratri Chaturyam (Talent display) in the evening, each fine art and Sports department of SSSIE presented enchanting performances such as Carnatic vocal, Mridangam, Tabla, Veena, Drums, Yoga, Band etc.. Staff and students presented inspiring talks during Navaratri Pravachan allotted for each day.
On the 5th day of Navaratri, Vilakku Puja was organized for all the Mahila staff and students. On the 7th day, the students from the Prasanthi school of music offered a mesmerising music concert at the Divine lotus feet at SSSIE. On the 8th day, the vocal and instrumental music students had the blessed opportunity to present their performance at Sri Padavettamman (Sri Renuka Devi Amman) temple, Nemilichery. The programme received appreciations from the devotees.
On the 9th day, being Saraswathi Puja day, students cleaned and decorated their rooms. All the departments and rooms in the campus were offered Puja and Arathi. The significance of the celebration of Navaratri was taught to the students through various activities every day. Each day concluded with Mangala Arathi and Prasadam distribution.
The final day of the Navaratri festival, Vijaya Dasami, the 44th birth anniversary of the school, was organized in a grand manner with a special Homam on 5th Oct 2022. The news about admission for girl students in class 6th and 7th was announced by the correspondent. The class 5 boy students will be allowed to continue their studies at SSSIE as day scholars.
