With the Divine Blessings of Bhagawan Sri Sathya Sai Baba, Sri Sathya Sai Institute of Educare, Chromepet organized the annual hostel tour for the students and staff on 10th and 11 Dec 2022, successfully. This time, the place chosen for the tour was the spiritual and the ancient city of Tamilnadu, Madurai. The group started in 3 buses on 9th Dec 2022 from the school campus and reached the Mahatma Higher Secondary Residential School, Alagarkoil, Madurai, the venue fixed for the stay at Madurai, in the early morning on 10th Dec. Students were provided excellent food and accommodation facilities at the school by the Management.
After getting immersed in the unique vibrations of the Mahatma school campus, the group proceeded towards the Madurai Meenakshi Amman Temple. With Divine Grace, all were blessed with a special Darshan of Goddess Madurai Meenakshi.
It was a source of inspiration for the students to witness the age-old sculptures and pillars of the Meenakshi Amman temple. After lunch time, the group reached the Gandhi Memorial Museum at Tamukkam, Madurai. Students witnessed various objects and historical displays related to the life of the father of the nation Mahatma Gandhi and the greatness of the Indian freedom struggle. Students cherished the tasty Madurai speical ‘Jigarthanda’ during break time.
Then, the group proceeded towards the ancient Thirupparankundram temple, the first house of the 6 houses of Lord Muruga. Students chanted the Namavalis of Lord Muruga throughout the waiting time before having the Darshan of Lord Muruga. Sri Sathya Sai Ananda Nilayam was the last place of visit on the first day. The silence and the divine vibrations of the Ananda Nilayam induced the spark of spirituality in the students. After a mellifluous Bhajan offering, Students partook Prasadam offered by the Sevadals.
On the next day (11th Dec), the group had the divine Darshan of Lord Sri Kallalagar and Sri Subramanya Swami at the Pazhamudircholai, the last house of the 6 houses of Lord Muruga. Students had a thrillful trekking experience while proceeding to have the Darshan.
In all the temples visited, students chanted Vedas and sung Bhajans in praise of the presiding deities. The discipline and the devotion of the students received appreciations from the devotees at all places. The group returned back to SSSIE in the late hours of 11th Dec 2022. Correspondent Sri S.Loganathan, Vice Principal Smt. Veda Nayagi accompanied the students along with other staff. The event ended with offering of Mangala Arathi to Bhagawan. Sairam.
