Mahilas Day (19/11/23)

Loving Sairam. With the Divine Blessings of our beloved Bhagawan Sri Sathya Sai Baba, Sri Sathya Sai Institute of Educare, Chromepet began the 98th birthday celebrations of our beloved Bhagawan with the celebration of the Global Mahilas Day in the campus. The programme began with Purna Kumbha procession with Veda Parayanam. Smt.Mohana Lakshmi, PRT anchored the day’s proceedings. All the Mahila teachers and staff performed the auspicious Kutthu Vilakku Puja (lamp worship) while chanting the Ashtottara Namavalis of Goddess Durga, Goddess Lakshmi, Goddess Saraswathi and Lord Sri Sathya Sai. Then, an offering of mellifluous Bhajans was done by the participants. Vice Principal Smt. N.Vedhanayagi addressed the teachers and thanked Bhagawan for the golden opportunity to serve at His lotus feet at SSSIE. She also thanked all the gents staff for being a great support to the Mahila staff and wished them happy international men’s day. It was followed by a heart-touching talk by Correspondent Sri S.Loganathan who highlighted the role of Mahilas in his life and welfare. He thanked all his Mahila friends for their concern for him during times of difficulty. He remembered the love and support given by Smt. K.Saimeera, Former Principal throughout her journey with him. It is only due to high penance, one gets birth as a woman. He advised the gents staff to take care of the Mahila staff and give all the support to carry out their duties. Director Sri P.Kumarasamy addressed the Mahilas advising them to take active participation in the Birthday celebrations. Then, Bhagawan’s Divine Discourse on the important household duties of Mahilas and the Shakthis of a Sthree was presented. The programme concluded with Mangala Arathi and Prasadam distribution.
