Sairam. With the Divine Blessings of Bhagawan Sri Sathya Sai Baba, the 75th Republic Day of Mother Bharath was celebrated with patriotic fervour at Sri Sathya Sai Institute of Educare, Chrompet, Chennai-44 on 26th Jan 2024. The celebration began with a perfectly synchronized house-wise March Past by the valiant children of Lord Sai. After a mellifluous rendition of ‘Tamizh Thaai Vaazhthu’, the National Pledge was taken by all. Sri S. Ravishankar, Deputy General Manager – Materials, Super Auto Forging Private Limited, Chennai, the chief guest of the day, hoisted the National Flag. Students rendered the ‘Thayin Manikodi Paareer’ song in praise of the National Flag followed by singing of the ‘Vande Matharam’ song. With the command given by the school captain, the National Anthem was sung by all. After the ground events, the program continued in the assembly – Ram Sai hall.
The stage events began a vibrant Veda Parayanam. Sri S.Loganathan, Correspondent delivered the welcome address. He introduced the chief guest Sri S.Ravishankar and informed about his charitable activities. Smt. Vedhanayagi, Vice Principal read a brief profile about him. The Chief guest, in his address, explained the theme of the Republic Day 2024 – ‘Vikshit Bharath’ and narrated the lack of infrastructure in the ancient Bharath which became an obstacle in communicating to the outside world about the prestigious glory of the country and its scientific inventions thousands of years ago. He advised the students to follow 3 types of duties in their lives viz. 1) Duty for ourselves – studying, getting a good name, etc. 1) Duty towards God and the Guru 3) Duty towards society in the form of Service.
Then, the prize distribution session began. Students who won in various co-curricular contests held inside the campus were felicitated with a medal and a certificate. Students who participated in various outside events and brought glory to Swami by winning various prizes in events such as State level ‘Talent Kidz’ drawing event, ‘Asia Book of Records’ keyboard event, State level Balvikas Talent Search event, International Karate Championship event, Inter-school cultural event, etc. Students who received a blessed opportunity to recite Sri Rudram at the holy Sri Sai Kulwant Hall, Prasanthi Nilayam were also felicitated. Senior Principal Smt. Savithiri Chandrasekaran proposed the vote of thanks. The program concluded with Mangala Arathi and Prasadam distribution.
