Brother A.T.Nirmal Kumar, native of Chennai,  joined SSSIE hostel for class 5th and completed class XII in the year 2017.  A calm and matured personality in the hostel activities utilized the advantages of staying at SSSIE hostel and excelled in Bhajan singing, Veda chanting, Kanjira playing etc. Completed Laya vikas and Bhajan vikas training organized by Sri Sathya  Sai Seva Organization. When he was studying class VIII, was blessed with the rarest opportunity to participate in a Himalayan trekking expedition event along with 6  other SSSIE students and had the Divine Darshan at Kedarnath and Bhadrinath temples.

Had opportunities to get trained in various extra-curricular activities such as Volleyball,  Chess, Cricket, Mridangam, Art and Craft etc. Won prizes in the state level Balvikas talent search event, received Black Belt in Karate through the coaching offered at SSSIE. Also, was blessed with the golden opportunity to perform a drama in the Divine presence at Prasanthi Nilayam.

Came out as the 2nd topper in class X and school 1st in class XII. Due to his meritorious behaviour and academic excellence, was selected as the best student of the year during his class XII and received the SAI VIDYARTHI award.

Values learnt at SSSIE (in his own words):

  • Learnt the habit of doing Namasmarana and developed firm faith in Baba.
  • Learnt the value of time management and avoided wasting time.
  • Learnt to control anger, be patient, humble and believe in Sai.
  • Learnt to respect parents and elders.
  • Learnt to render lots of service activities to the society and follow Sai’s path of love.

The values that I learnt at SSSIE are purely irreplaceable. If it all I am disciplined and self-confident today, it is totally due to he values I learnt at SSSIE. It taught me to be focussed, develop self control and face the challenges in life.

With Swami’s Divine Grace, due to his passion to serve in the medical field, Brother Nirmal Kumar successfully completed his MBBS course from Chettinad Hospital and Research Institute, Chennai after passing NEET examination  through the coaching offered at SSSIE. At present, he is continuing his endeavour to soar high in the field and pursuing his PG course.
