Sairam. With the Divine Blessings of Bhagawan Sri Sathya Sai Baba, the students and the staff of Sri Sathya Sai Institute of Educare, Chromepet, offered their reverential Pranams and heartfelt gratitude at the lotus of Bhagawan Sri Sathya Sai Baba on His 99th Birthday Celebration on 23rd Nov 2024.
The program began with the hoisting of the Prasanthi Flag by the chief guest Brother P. Sridhar, Senior Vice President, Standard Chartered Bank. Brother Sai Mahesh, Finance Controller, Ford Motors, and Brother Gautam Nayak, Business Head, Kaleesuwari Group were the guests of Honour. All the 3 brothers are students of Bhagawan who studied at the esteemed Sri Sathya Sai Institute of Higher Learning, Prasanthi Nilayam. We also had Dr. K.Umasivaraman, SSSIE Educational Advisor, Deputy Commissioner (Retd.), KV Sangathan, Ernakulam Region attending the function as a special guest.
Students acting as sage Naradha and Lord Sri Muruga compered for the program. Bhagawan carried by the students on a beautifully decorated palanquin, was welcomed in a grand procession with band play and Veda chanting. Students offered the ‘Swagatham song’ to greet him. After Swami arrived on the stage, the ‘Jai vijayee Bhava’ Stotram was recited. The guests along with class XII students lit 99 lamps around a a beautifully drawn Rangoli of Bhagawan. Correspondent Sri S.Loganathan delivered the welcome address and highlighted the abundant blessings of Bhagawan continuously showering on the school in the form of various new projects and achievements. He stressed that it is due to the dedicated work of various noble people associated with the school, it has been continuously growing. He admired the sacrifice and the hard work of the director Sri P.Kumarasamy in the upbringing of the school since the beginning. After the welcome address, a soulful rendition of devotional songs by the assembly team charmed the hearts.
The Mahila students of SSSIE offered a synchronized and graceful dance presentation on the glory of Bhagawan. Then, ‘Your life was my Message’ – a drama based on Swami’s divine guidelines to thwart away the Shadripus by following the fundamental human values Sathya, Dharma, etc. in our daily life. The drama captivated the audience with the students making perfect enactment of the characters.
It was followed by the address by the chief guest Sri P.Sridhar who guided the students on various value-based topics related to students such as the characteristics of a real Sai student, the real purpose of education, the role of Sai alumni in society, the importance of the values of gratitude and love for motherland. The points were correctly grasped by the students with the guest’s erudite explanation with examples. Students who won in various competitions outside were felicitated by the guests during the prize distribution session.
Correspondent Sri S.Loganathan joining with the guests felicitated Sri C.Manikandan, Headmaster (Middle & Secondary), Smt. V.Jayalakshmi, Asst. Headmistress (Primary) who received the best teacher awards during the current academic year 2024-25.
Then, Ms. N.Vedhanayagi, Principal-in-charge proposed the vote of thanks and thanked the guests for their gracious presence and all the SSSIE Family members for their sincere contribution to the grand celebration of the 99th birthday of Bhagawan. Swami was offered the Jhula seva with the students mellifluously rendering the birthday song and the Jhula song at His Divine Lotus Feet. The program came to a conclusion with the offering of Mangala Arathi to Lord Sai followed by Prasadam distribution.
