Sairam. With the divine blessings of Bhagawan Sri Sathya Sai Baba, the students and staff of Sri Sathya Sai Institute of Educare, Chromepet, Chennai-44, celebrated the auspicious festival of Maha Shivaratri, offering a rich tapestry of spiritual sadhanas at the lotus feet of Lord Sri Sai Shiva. For the entire week, the campus resonated with the unwavering chant of ‘Aum Nama Shivaya,’ a constant stream of devotion from the students.
On February 25th, 2025, students watched the live broadcast from Prasanthi Nilayam of the concluding day of the Ati Rudra Maha Yagnam. The entire school community witnessed the sacred Maha Poornahuti, offering heartfelt prayers. Throughout the period o f the Ati Rudra Maha Yagnam, students diligently participated in the daily chanting of Sri Rudram. We are pleased to announce that SSSIE received a digital certificate from the SSS Media Centre, recognizing our virtual participation in the chanting. (Certificate attached).
The Maha Shivaratri day, February 26th, 2025, unfolded with a series of divine offerings. Students began the day with a mesmerizing Bhajan medley in the assembly dedicated to Lord Sai Shiva, filling the atmosphere with sacred vibrations. In the evening, at 5:00 pm, Lingabhishekam was performed by the students along with offering of the vibrant Eka Dasa Rudra Paryanam. In between the Parayanam, senior students provided insightful explanations of the inner meaning of Sri Rudram and the glory of the Shivalinga, deepening the spiritual understanding of all. After the Paryanam, students presented a beautiful musical offering of the Lingashtakam on violin, the Bilvakshtakam, and the popular devotional song, “Bho Shambho…” in vocal renditions. Mangala Arathi was offered to Bhagawan, and all present partook of the blessed Prasadam in the assembly hall.
The culmination of the celebrations was the Akhanda Bhajan, a night-long vigil of Sai Bhajans singing. Commencing at 10:00 PM, students from each class offered soulful Bhajans at the lotus feet of Bhagawan until 6:00 AM the following morning. Following a Bhajan sung by Bhagawan, Correspondent Sri S. Loganathan offered Mangala Arathi.
In his address, Sri S. Loganathan commended the students for their unwavering commitment and sacrifice, praising their steadfastness in participating in the Akhanda Bhajan throughout the night. This Maha Shivaratri provided a blessed opportunity for all students and staff to immerse themselves in various spiritual sadhanas, expressing their love and devotion to our beloved
